James Ackerley Porter
Ackerley Art is locally owned and operated by James Ackerley Porter in Wichita, Kansas. James is a preparator and designer of art installation and has been installing notable artworks for museum exhibitions and programming since 2004. His first 6 years was at the Tacoma Art Museum, which houses the largest retrospective collection of glass art by Chihuly and focuses primarily on Pacific Northwest Art. He currently is the Exhibition Designer and Production Manager at the Edwin A. Ulrich Museum of Art at Wichita State University.
James earned his Master of Fine Arts in Painting and Sculpture from Central Washington University in 1995. Since then he has shown work nationally, most notably Ulterior Motifs, a group show of Texas based artists that has shown 25 exhibitions beginning in 1995. He was also a featured artist in the book publication of Wichita Artists in their Studios by Sondra Langel. James has his work in private, corporate and museum collections.
James has over 16 years of experience installing artwork in private homes, businesses, and corporate offices. James brings an artistic eye, professionalism and his extensive knowledge of art and installation to each project.

Denise DeBusk
Denise DeBusk is the business partner of Ackerley Art and a working studio artist.
Her knowledge of art and design comes from a range of work experiences that include art supply manager, natural history museum fabricator, gallery director, sales in home decor and design, and museum preparator.
Denise earned her Master of Arts with an emphasis in printmaking and minor in Art History from Central Washington University in 1996. She has shown her work in local, regional and national exhibits.
As an independent studio artist, Denise works in multiple mediums and styles. Works available for purchase can be viewed here. She has also tackled multiple commissions in both private and public sectors.
Denise also assists in the design and installation of art in private homes and businesses.
